Karen DiGiacomo

Dr. Karen DiGiacomo has over 25 years of experience in the field of education. She started her career as a secondary-level English teacher—including a volunteer teaching assignment in the Peace Corps, Hungary—then moved into corporate training and development, and began working in the field of higher education over 15 years ago. Karen started her higher education career designing online and on-ground curriculum. She then moved into the area of assessment, including managing program review processes, mapping learning outcomes to the curriculum, analyzing assessment data, and facilitating data-driven improvement decisions. She currently serves as the Director of Curriculum and Assessment at large, private institution in the western United States. In her role, Dr. DiGiacomo works to develop courses and programs, assess and review programs of study, and manage the ongoing production of dashboards and other data reports. Dr. DiGiacomo holds an Ed.D. with an Emphasis in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, a Master’s degree in Education, and a B.A. in English. She resides in the state of Colorado near the beautiful Rocky Mountains and enjoys hiking, gardening, and hanging out with her dogs in her free time.
