Andrew G D Holmes

Dr Andrew G. D. Holmes is a keen, friendly and enthusiastic researcher and facilitator with extensive experience of the design, development and delivery of higher education courses at all levels from Masters to Foundation level. He has delivered courses in a wide range of areas, primarily Education, and work-based/work-related learning, including short-courses, enterprise and entrepreneurship and Adult education. With extensive teaching experience, he has a BSc (Hons), MSc, PGCE and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. 
He is an experienced facilitator of learning, passionate about encouraging every learner’s development of applied skills, theoretical and tacit knowledge for the workplace and life, and importantly an understanding of ‘the bigger picture’. Andrew has worked in higher education for over 25 years, including working with a wide range of external partner organisations, both public, private and not-for-profit sectors delivering work-based learning, training and higher education programmes. He is a trustee of the Charity Hull and East Yorkshire Children’s University and works in the School of Education at the University of Hull.
